Characters: Eddie, Graham Ryder, Hayley, James Miller, Joe, John, Nicholas Pine
- John and Hayley are enjoying life in the cottage, although Tom’s been borrowing rather a lot of milk and they are starting to wish some peace and quiet on themselves.
- Apparently, Robert’s interview in Grimsby was yesterday, no news yet though.
- Graham Rider is testifying and Joe is getting quite wound up at some of his remarks, so Eddie suggests he go back to Grange Farm. James questions him quite closely as to the estate’s future plans, which revolve around economies of scale and making the land more competitive.
- James also tries to point out the environmental impacts, like the hedges that will have to be uprooted given that the average field size on Grange Farm is 14.6 acres against 47 acres on the rest of the estate. It’s Eddie’s testimony tomorrow and it could be make or break …..
