Characters: Bert, Clarrie, Eddie, Neil, Shula, Sid, Usha

• Shula meets Usha for lunch and is glad of the adult conversation after the last week of playschemes and handling the stables. She’s not too happy with her twin though, he’s still prevaricating about returning home for Phil and Jill’s Ruby anniversary party.
• Sid’s still moaning about Hallowe’en’s wash-out, although he’s looking forward to tonight’s bonfire night and quiz match, which should bring the punters in.
• Usha’s recomending that Eddie tell the police about the venison because, although he’s adamant that there’s no connection between his meat deals and the attack on George, if the police don’t believe him on one issue, they might not on the other.
• Lynda and Roy are ill and not playing for the Bull’s quiz side, so Eddie and Bert step into the breech and do appaling. Bert is awful and The Fox from Edgeley trounce them.
• Neil’s a little unsure what to say to Eddie because his alibi of giving Clive a lift look shaky because Ivy’s claiming not to have seen him for almost a month ….. im mum for over a month ….
