Characters: Brian, Clarrie, Debbie, Eddie, Jennifer, Jolene, Matt Crawford
- Eddie’s generally grumbling, in particular about how he thinks Clive shouldn’t be in the play and how Jason seems to be mucking him around – although no sooner is that said than he turns up and finishes the shuttering.
- Jennifer acts the dutiful wife as Brian invites one of his partners in the consortium buying the estate, Matt Crawford, to dinner. An eventful evening as Jennifer and Debbie don’t enjoy his mercenary attitude over his selling of the Borchester by-pass land and Brian feels he was slightly more open with information about the consortium than he would have liked.
- Jennifer and Debbie make full use of the embarrassment potential of Brian’s over-indulgence at the Grundy’s on Tuesday night. Brian tries to keep this quiet, but Clarrie has spilt the beans! Brian attempts to restore a strictly landlord/tenant relationship with Eddie, much to his disgust, although it doesn’t surprise Clarrie.
- Jolene turns up to see Eddie. She wants him to join her “on the road”, but he declines. It seems that Jolene has hit some bad times. She has done a course on teaching Line-Dancing, and is thinking about starting a class in Ambridge.
