• The Lower Loxley Summer Spectular starts with a nervous Phil gradually calming down and, eventually, looking forward to his conducting debut.
• The Carters and the Tuckers start to dig into their picnic as the music starts, with Susan nagging Neil about the amount of beer he’s drinking ahead of the Royal (and his potential meeting about his new job) tomorrow. Mike’s imbibing heavily and even Eddie stops by for a can to calm his nerves.
• Brian and Jennifer are enjoying the evening too, although Jennifer still worried that she can’t get through to the mobile number she has for Kate. Brian points out that Mike doesn’t seem to be worrying too much, being quite snobbish about his (admittedly embarrassingly bad) behaviour at a classical concert.
• The 1812 is going really well until Eddie realises he’s lost his ear defenders – he finds them until Mike’s stack of empties and, just, makes it back for the explosive finale.
