• There’s a problem with the silage that Grange Farm are selling Brookfield and Ruth offers Eddie a quarter of the agreed price – or nothing.
• Lynda’s stocking up on provisions for her vigil and when Brian finds her in his field he’s incensed and threatens her with the police and bulldozers.
• Neil’s had a meeting with Harry McIntyre, his boss, and without hearing the outcome and knowing only that there were heated words, Susan demands that he eat humble pie and apologise after the holiday. He suggests that they not go to the Bull for Sunday lunch – it’s too expensive. As she leaves to meet the school bus he mutters to himself that he’s jacked the job in …….
