Characters: Brian, Clarrie, Debbie, Joe, Kate, Pat, William

• It’s the Open Day at Home Farm and Kate is still talking of disruption. Debbie’s still sore at Brian, but wants Kate to keep a low profile.
• Joe’s not that impressed at the fact that it’s created, seeing it is rather lesser than his natural SSSI, pointing out that it’s probably just scratching backs because of the Borchester Mills sponsorship and the size of Brian’s feed order!
• Clarrie and William are helping with the lunch – and William has got an obvious crush on Debbie and everyone’s noticed!
• William confronts Brian about countryside management and while Brian tries to brush him off with a “you’re a child, you wouldn’t understand”, he makes some strong points and Brian is uncomfortable.
• Kate teases information out of Debbie and almost tells Pat and Clarrie about Brian’s plans, leading them on along a line of discussion about why would a city consortium want tenanted land, maybe a local farmer would be as efficient as running it through agents …. Later she confronts Brian, accusing him of selling out and threaten to explode his secrecy ….
