- The cricket season continues successfully, a three wicket win, marred though by Bert giving David out Handled The Ball, everyone was surprised and David is fuming. Sean’s getting rather embarrassed too, as Ambridge is the only village whose umpire hasn’t signed up for the refresher course.
- Sean and David tried to reason about the Single Wicket competition with Martin Crocker, the Penny Hassett captain. When Sean raised Mark’s name, it was pointed out that Sean didn’t know him, but Martin did ….
- Pat’s under a big black cloud with Tony as they are getting increasingly petty over their disagreements. Peggy interrupted their bickering but they’re no nearer a resolution.
- Debbie and Shula discuss Simon, Debbie asks Shula to make a statement to the police, so that she wouldn’t have to go through the process on her own.
