  • Ruth and David are recovering from yesterday’s shock with Pip and tractor and, thanks to a chance comment about sibling relationships with Eddie, think they’ve (finally) solved Pip’s attitude problem – she’s not used to playing second fiddle and is jealous of Josh. A possible solution is found, David will take John into her school next week, inter alia let her show him off.
  • Eddie’s in the pub and DS Blackmore tells him that DI Coverdale would like to clarify some points, at the station, but in his own time.
  • After getting hold of Usha, Eddie turns up to Borchester nick. He’s cautioned, but is not arrested as the DI goes over some details.
No, Eddie is sure that he didn’t have contact with George that night.
Is he surprised to learn that some blood found on the jumper he’d been wearing is George’s?
Too right he’s surprised! He’s left alone with Usha and declaims all knowledge and is flabbergasted. When the DI returns, he charges Eddie with Grevous Bodily Harm and he’s released on police bail, still protesting his innocence.
