Characters: Clarrie, David, Eddie, Jennifer, Peggy, Phil, Tony

• Wandering hens at Brookfield are proving a headache, the rules say they’re not allowed in the yard, but years of it are proving a habit.
• A fuming Tony is spreading the news about Brian, Phil and David share his shock and surprise at the lack of communication. David and Phil are as surprised that neither Jennifer nor Debbie told them anything. David’s not blaming Phil’s prevarication any more.
• Clarrie’s passing on the news about Brian to Eddie, although his is the calmest reaction, pleased that the owner will be someone they know.
• Tony tells a slightly surprised Peggy the news too, although she seems to want to try to blame Pat for the wasted opportunity. She’s less upset by the news, definitely less upset than Tony wanted her to be.
• Tony’s next port of call was Home Farm and he wasn’t feeling particuarly brotherly. He doesn’t believe her protests and really takes Jennifer to task over Brian’s actions.
