Characters: Clarrie, George, Lynda, Neil, Sean, Sid, Susan
- It’s Neil’s 40th birthday, he’s fairly happy but Susan’s getting fed up with comments about Clive and she’s concerned about the estate’s future.
- Lynda’s planning on holding auditions soon, integrating the workshops with rehearsals, managing to blame last night’s lack of success on the attempts at concrete removal
- It’s the Boules night and Clarrie and Susan go well and reach the final, against Robert and Lynda, and they win! Although it’s not all great for the Grundys, a losing and fed up Eddie, drops his boule on a soon to be Casualty-bound Joe!
- George has an idea to solve the Bert situation – threaten to send someone else and then be more likely to chose the trained person in the future. Sean nominates George to be the bait.
- Sid’s phoned the Penny Hassett captain and told him that the single wicket competition will be the same as it’s always been – which includes holding the celebrations at The Bull, not at the Cat as was planned. Sean’s not happy at this bit of arm-twisting but what can he do?
