Characters: Brian, Clarrie, Debbie, Eddie, Joe, Phil, Ruth

• Eddie’s sure that the Jerseys will pay off eventually and Ruth talking of the expansion with Eddie. Although she’s not sure that Jerseys are good for Brookfield she is still sure that the quota expense will pay for itself before long. Phil wants a detailed discussion with Ruth, Jill and David tomorrow.
• Debbie and Brian discuss over spraying, the effects of “Sandal wearing eco freaks” and while he’s not going to follow David’s green experiements there may be something in it.
• Joe thinks that Phil would make a good farming witness and Richard for character witness. Eddie and Caroline disagree and eventually they agree to ask Brians and Caroline?
• Joe speads the news around before either have been asked. When Eddie asks Brians, he says he wants to think about it a while. But behind closed doors he’s incredulous. Later Phil defends Eddie (partially), but Brian seems unlikely to accept.
• More envelopes arrive, but Clarrie’s not stuffing any more until she’s been paid.
