- The day of the Single Wicket Competition dawns and Sean is dismayed to see that Higgs hasn’t mown the outfield nor rolled the pitch – although he’d rather save his strength than help Tommy, who’s very confident thanks to his match-saving 22 not out against Edgeley on Saturday.
- Shula’s grateful to Alistair for arriving in the nick of time, she and Daniel had an energetic Sunday so he was especially grumpy and stiff that morning. He takes him off to his grandparents while she can have a little time to herself. He suggests an even out, although she’s not sure she can spare the time.
- The single wicket competition sees Neil flexing his manly muscles in beating Clarrie – lest he lose to a woman for the second successive year – and Janet displaying unknown talents in beating Alistair before losing to Roy. A few surprises along the way leads to a Tommy-Sean final which Tommy is particularly confident about …..
