Characters: Caroline, David, Graham, Jack, Shula, Sid, Tony
- Sid visits Caroline at Grey Gables, but bumps into Jack and explains his problem. That he’s concerned that Caroline has rather railroaded them and called them incompetent, apparently Kathy is furious and is refusing to speak to Caroline. Later Jack mentions this to Caroline, who feels bad for upsetting them, but is adamant that they seem to be fiddling while The Bull burns.
- Graham and David are getting fed up at the worsening estate-Brookfield situation. Graham is annoyed at David’s constant pestering and David is starting to worry that the legal action is going to be crucifyingly expensive. Apparently Simon is determined and a legal fight is assured, if that’s what David wants.
- Sean’s captaincy is meeting with success, although Sid’s not sure at some of his methods, and doesn’t want to umpire either, despite horror stories of Bert’s incompetence.
- Shula spills the beans to Caroline, who is the only other person to know about Simon’s violent streak. She’s shocked and Shula is still feeling very guilty about not telling Debbie sooner. Apparently, Jennifer is taking Debbie to the police station today.
- Tony is paid a visit by Graham who has some startling news. Apparently Simon is putting the estate up for sale and Tony is being offered first refusal to buy Bridge Farm.
