• Marjorie is walking the ‘gels’ when Portia breaks her lead and disappears she’s frantic with worry and eventually she turns up, worrying the new sheep at Grange Farm. Eddie is in the process of fetching his gun when Marjorie arrives and he’s in no mood to listen to her apologies.
• The Grand Opening of the Cafe Bar starts well, although as midnight approaches and the free champagne is finished, numbers diminish – the opposite to Lower Loxley which fills up toward the end, including Julia and Nelson, who smooch on the dance floor!
• Larry was at the Cafe Bar with a lady – his prospective leading lady in a revivial of The Desert Song in Felpersham.
• Nigel and Lizzie exchange words over a phone call from Hugh in which Nigel had postponed a visit from him and not told her.
• Eddie is worried over Tess’ training because Edward is treating her as a pet not a working dog
