Characters: Alistair, Caroline, Debbie, Graham, Kenton, Ruth, Shula

• A debut for the vet as he visits Ruth to look at a cow. Graham’s there too, to meet with David, and they’re all looking forward to the evening’s festivities.
• Shula and Caroline are both getting dolled up, Caroline’s still worried about Graham’s attentions and has her eye on Alistair.
• The wine bar is full – Shane is doling out free champagne to guests and Shula is worried that regular customers are receiving it too. That, though, is the least of her worries as she and Caroline, Graham and Alistair are at cross-purposes.
• Kenton’s noticed that Alistair’s been paying Shula attention, in between asking Debbie to spend her birthday cheque on fleeing, albeit temporarily, Ambridge for Oz.
• Alistair eventually gets Shula on her own and gives her a kiss, but she runs – assuming Caroline (who is receiving the dubious attentions of Graham) wouldn’t appreciate her intervention.
