  • David is in the throes of lambing. A bit tiring after the Cricket Club Dinner. Pity Chris and Alice cried off. Alistair wonders why. Neil had a good time too. Ifty had been talking about the adventure park and even saw Elizabeth on a zip wire.
  • Ruth has finally managed to talk to Pip. She tried to stay calm and keep things low key, talking about her responsibilities to Brookfield. It didn’t go well. David had a try too but it didn’t help. She doesn’t seem to have her priorities right. It’s one thing letting the farm down but she should at least apologise to Tom. That didn’t go down well either.
  • It is looking as if Wolfgang might have had TB. If it is right and if the other two are tested positive, they will have to be put down. And with David and Ruth’s cows being on adjoining land, they might want to tell them given their history with TB. Lynda won’t tell them. She knows what David will say but if she even mentions it he will insist the other two are tested and she couldn’t bear it. Robert points out that it is their livelihood but she won’t listen.
  • Darrell is still trying to find work and finds an old foreman who might find him something. Once again, he doesn’t sound too sure.
  • Chris is obviously very down when Neil speaks to him. He is really fed up now about the article. He is happy in Ambridge but Alice wants to go to Vancouver. Neil is shocked. Especially when he hears that she wants him to sell up. Chris could take a real hit on price if he has to sell in a rush. Alice tries to understand but she wants them to move together. They are hardly speaking now. They’ve never been like that before. He really doesn’t know what he would do if they offer her the job.
