Kirsty has a romantic surprise for Tom. Tom has not thought of a romantic surprise for Kirsty. Tony would rather be drilling carrots.
Radio Times: Kirsty surprises Tom, and Pat gives him a nudge.
Characters: Alan, Helen, Kirsty, Pat, Tom, Tony- Pat and Helen are pleased with the ice cream sales over the holiday weekend. Helen is off to sell some more, must be back for the wedding rehearsal. She tells Pat that Kirsty has a lovely surprise for Tom.
- Kirsty reveals her surprise; the rings are engraved with the date of their wedding and a loving message. Unfortunately Tom’s is rather a tight fit.
- Pat seems exceptionally stressed over the wedding, and has a major go at Tony, who thinks drilling carrots is more important than trying on his morning suit. Pat is panicking over her bag and wants Tony to come with her to choose another. As if the wrong bag is not catastrophe enough, it just might rain on Thursday.
- Kirsty manages to drag Tom to try on his suit (do wedding hire shops open on a Bank Holiday?) and surprise surprise, there are Pat and Tony. Excited Kirsty takes Pat to see Henry’s miniature morning suit, leaving Tom and Tony to some mutual commiseration over the demands of their respective businesses. Pat asks Tom is he has a surprise for Kirsty. Apparently it has never occurred to him, but Tom agrees that he should.
- The Bridge Farm clan go to the church for the wedding rehearsal. When Kirsty plays the CD they have chosen, Helen, Pat and Tony are totally overcome with emotion.
