Elizabeth cancels their headline band. Ruth has a tantrum when she hears Pip has suggested getting out of milk.

Radio Times: Roy gives Elizabeth a fright, and David astonishes Ruth.

• Freddie is trying to get his mates into Loxfest for free. Roy is trying to control him. Elizabeth is still complaining about Roy making her do the interview. Roy should have done it. He says she never asked him to do it and he would have done if he’d known. He storms off fed up of being blamed.
• Josh did okay in his GCSEs though might need to think about his A Level choices. Lynda arrives at Brookfield. She brings bad news about donations to other routes from rich donors. David feels like giving up but Lynda says they’ll be able to match it. Ruth’s mother isn’t well; her leg is still causing her problems. Then while they are talking Lynda gets a call to say Leonie is in labour.
• Elizabeth is looking for Roy when Freddie tells her he is on the roof taking photos. Elizabeth goes up to find him and he’s tripped and has ripped his shirt and is bleeding. Elizabeth gets him to take his shirt off and helps him to dress the wound. Things almost get out of hand (again) when Elizabeth goes off to find one of Nigel’s old shirts – which of course she is bound to still have to hand.
• David sulks again after Lynda leaves. Pip has said that she thinks they should get out of milk entirely. Ruth is amazed she has even considered it – she knows how hard they have worked. Ruth is horrified and gets ridiculously upset. David shouts that they might not have a choice.
• When Elizabeth sees Roy in Nigel’s shirt she is a bit taken aback but it suits him. But they agree between themselves to cancel Quaintance Smith and find a replacement, however bad. Roy tells Elizabeth that whatever she chooses will be best for Lower Loxley.
