  • It’s time to talk to mum, so Shula and Elizabeth are heading to Brookfield. Jill guesses that Elizabeth wants to take her money out, Kenton too, but it’s a surprise that Shula does. So they are all cutting their ties to the family farm. It was important to Phil to keep the family and the farm together.
  • Helen is trying to get back on track after hospital visits. Tom is busy too. It’s a tense time while the hospital complete their investigations. Helen has had a text from Kirsty, the first for a long time; Helen replied telling her about Tom; Kirsty thought having Tom back must be a comfort to Pat. Tom is heading over to gran’s but first he checks with Helen about an imminent feed delivery; she pleads ignorance.
  • Jill is already visiting Peggy who knows about the Damara offer; Jennifer had told her and is disappointed and disapproving about it but then her daughter always had unrealistic expectations about human behaviour. Peggy is worrying over her will. How could she not have seen the effect on Tony? She set up a competition, with Tony trying to prove himself against Tom; she put that bull in the yard with Tony. Tom brands this as ridiculous when he arrives. While Peggy freshens up, Jill confides that she thinks Peggy is near breaking point.
  • Returning to Bridge Farm, Tom finds that Helen has taken delivery of some stock feed potatoes; she thinks Rob had ordered them and begs Tom not to fall out with him about it. But dad is not into that kind of beef so Tom will take on ordering feed from now. They have more important things to worry about anyway.
