Radio Times: Peggy lets off steam and Adam is not playing ball.

  • Peggy calls on Jennifer to say how upset she has been to see Pat’s state of mind over the refusal of bail for Helen. Jennifer does her best to offer tea and sympathy, but her comment about Helen’s lack of judgement over men does not help greatly. Brian makes himself scarce, pleading a need to see Adam.
  • Aren’t-I-Wonderful Pip takes Josh to task over the derelict hen house. She needs to create a good impression for Open Farm Sunday, and his junk, not to say his hens, are not part of Pip’s plan. Josh seems to have ideas of his own, and gives Pip as good as he gets. At least Matthew has ducked out of spending four days with Pip; he has moved to a new job earlier than expected. Josh seems oddly put out by this news; compared to Jude and Spencer, Matthew is all right; they could have gone for a drink together.
  • Worried that Latif, Justin’s business associate will be coming to see how Home Farm runs its enterprises, Brian has yet another go at Adam’s eco-farming ideas. Sounding ever more world-weary, Adam stands his ground, but manages to remind Brian that he does not regard maize as a good crop. Wind turbines, on the other hand … can Adam really be winding Brian up?
  • Back at the ranch, Brian explodes to Jennifer about Adam’s stance. He hopes Adam won’t bang on about his obsessions in front of Latif. Jennifer is more concerned with the guest list for their anniversary party. Sabrina Thwaite is angling for an invitation, knowing that Justin will be there
