I don’t think there was a point of any note in tonight’s episode but apparently the elves are going to be evicted.

Radio Times: Lilian and Jennifer go shopping, and Jolene has to think on her feet.

Characters: Brian, Jennifer, Jolene, Kenton, Lilian

• Lilian is up for breakfast for once. Phoebe ate ages ago before going back to work. Lilian and Jennifer are off to Cheltenham to buy clothes for the anniversary party. Brian is off to get rid the elves in the Millennium Wood.
• Kenton, meantime, has ordered some t-shirts advertising the elves to sell in The Bull. He might get rid of some at the single wicket. The Bull and Fallon have both been nominated for the Borsetshire Food Award. Kenton is still reluctant to agree it’s all down to Wayne.
• Jennifer and Lilian briefly think about Helen but then get more interested in the food awards. Josh’s eggs and Helen’s cheese as well. And they are looking to clear stuff out for the jumble trail. Lilian is looking to get rid of the painting Paul gave her but doesn’t explain to Jennifer. Miranda won’t be at the party anyway, even if Justin is. Lilian thinks that marriage is really in trouble. Jennifer thinks Miranda probably sees a different side to him. Who knows what is going on in someone else’s relationship – look at Rob and Helen.
• Kenton is very curious about Wayne’s new girlfriend Beverley. He interrogates Jolene about what she looks like and her name. Jolene invents the surname “Drains”.
• Jolene tells Kenton about a conversation with Eddie. Apparently Will and Brian are about to clear out the elves to stop the visitors disturbing the birds. Jolene says it doesn’t matter. They are flying high with their award nomination. Kenton is still reluctant to make him full time. He says he’s unprofessional always going on about Beverley. He doesn’t even know how they met. He won’t be happy till he finds out. As Kenton dashes off to talk to Eddie, Jolene calls Wayne to tell him to drop Beverley. Kenton is on to him.
• Brian tells Lilian and Jennifer that Helen is leaving hospital tomorrow. Lilian notices he is happier. He and Will have a plan to evict the elves. She hopes he is planning something spectacular for their anniversary. He’s booked a week in a 5* hotel in Venice. She is the best and deserves the best. Lilian says that for once they are in complete agreement.
