11 November 1996
- Eddie’s still got his head in the clouds and Joe’s the prophet of doom, mysteriously dressed up and off to Grey Gables. A sliver of silver in the lining of the cloud, the insurance for the tractor arrived.
- Jack’s still concerned about the lack of organisation for the Cricket Club’s dinner, and as club president he asks Richard to organise it, who doesn’t refuse.
- Joe is at Grey Gables to observe the two minute’s silence, which, apparently, was done with dignity (and a suitable pause in the broadcast), he and Jack discuss the fact that they’re of a generation who knew people lost in wars, something that many today don’t appreciate.
- Usha is stocking up for Divali, and is hoping to take Richard’s mind off the forthcoming hearing for serious professional misconduct. He’s had official notification from the GMC that this will be on the 12th December, he will be contacting the MDU (Medical Defence Union).
- Shula’s cover, Graham Rider, is not as on side with the Grundys as she was and tells Eddie to be patient.
- Jack’s keen to go ahead with naming a suite after Josiah Goodall and thinks Lynda is being a prude over his roguishness!
- Satya arrives stocked with presents and a surprise for Richard ….
