  • Lizzie’s trying very hard to be nice to Nigel, who’s appreciating it, but isn’t completely over the problems.
  • Jennifer and Debbie go to see some Indian temple dancers with tickets from Caroline! At the show they bump into Caroline, who couldn’t, erm, get rid of the tickets to anyone else and had nothing else to do.
  • At the read-through there’s only Lynda, Janet and Nigel. Which goes reasonably, although Lynda’s still digging at why there was the tension between Nigel and Lizzie before. Janet’s happy with the “appropriate” buyer for the vicarage. We also discover that Ambridge Hall has bats, which Lynda’s doesn’t appreciate, but Janet finds the irony in their being mentioned in a Midsummer Night’s Dream (albeit by an alternate name which Lynda, to her chagrun, hadn’t picked up on).
  • Caroline and Debbie go on to dinner at the Cat, to undertake some commercial espionage, and bump into Nigel and Lizzie, off an evening out at there for similar nefarious reasons! (Aside I found it amusing that while Nigel and Lizzie were talking the background track was “Every day is a winding road” by Sheryl Crow). Owen’s food is great, and while Debbie and Lizzie go offo to play pool Nigel and Caroline chat. He mentions that Lizzie’s stopping working with Hugh. It is good news but while she insists that there was nothing he just don’t believe her – The trust has gone.
