Characters: Brian, Debbie, John, Lynda, Pat, Sharon, Tony

• John’s got problems with his van, but not so serious that, when asked, he offers to take Sharon and Kylie to a dentist’s appointment tomorrow. Sharon is making it patently clear that she is after a resumption of previous services …..
• Debbie is being very terse with Brian, who seems to be genuinely fearful of her leaving. He seems keen to investigate some of the more environmentally friendly ideas of hers, although she’s not sure she sees the point of discussing it as his track record is not good.
• John sees men in one of Brian’s fields and later they find evidence of hare-coursing, although the culprits are long gone.
• Tony gave Pat a lead for the cold store she’s looking to buy – but she had to refuse as it was a slightly older model and had CFCs.
• It’s the dress rehearsal and Lynda’s trying to gee the troops ahead of tomorrow’s first night.
