  • Roy’s late for university and to compound the position that John left him in, it seems that the abatoir are expecting a delivery – only neither Tony nor Roy know which ones John meant to send. They waste a lot of time picking and weighing and Tony will have to delivery them first thing in the morning – which will please Tommy as he will have to do the milking!
  • The line dancing is bringing extra custom to The Bull and a smile to Sid’s face, broadened by the advert appearing for The Bull’s Christmas Dinner and enquiries have started already. He’s less keen about Kathy participating, but she’s enjoying her evening off, at least until Susan leaves at 9-30.
  • Roy wants to talk about his day to Kate, who’s more interested in preparing posters for the rally in her front room with the bypass protest people. When she says she can’t spare time for him until the protest finishes, he storms off.
  • Roy and Tony bump into each other in the pub and moan about John, when Kate walks in. Roy gets suddenly hopeful, until it transpires that she’s hoping to leaflet the line-dancers when they leave.
