• The Home Farm school of people management is open for business as Debbie’s apologising to Mike for offering the silage work to Neil before him. Susan’s decided that she and Neil need the money, so she swallows her pride and asks Brian if she can have the cleaning job at the business units back. He makes her squirm, reminding her of the circumstances surrounding her resignation – and refuses, saying they’ve recently appointed a replacement. Greg Turner declined yesterday’s lunch invitation and Brian’s “cold fish” interpretation is a little more charitable than Debbie’s “anti-social”.
• Neil and Susan are still on dodgy ground, emotionally and financially. All their bills are due and while they can meet them, there’s not much left in the kitty. She seems as conscious of their lack of image as their lack of money, though.
