Characters: Betty, Kate, Neil, Sean, Susan, Tommy, Tony
- Tony convinces Tommy to help him roll the cricket pitch and, what do you know, Sean’s at the ground and tries to talk Tommy into at least thinking of returning to the fold. He says that he know’s Tommy’s reasons for feeling bad and tries to convince him that he has the same sort of gift that his brother had. Tommy’s not really listening to him though.
- A mysterious pitch-roller, suspected to be Eddie, has done a good job of rolling a pitch – only it was the wrong one.
- Some friends of Kate’s dropped by the shop and the fallout – unpaid-for purchases, having non-staff members in the stock room and a particularly pungent smelling incense – leaves Betty (and Susan) laying down the law – no incense, no friends – to which Kate reacts haughtily but vaguely agreeably.
