• Joe’s having no luck with complaining to Jack about the suit, he suggests taking up the issue with Underwoods.
• Shula and Alistair are in Borchester to hand in various bits of paper at the registry office: passports, birth certificates and, more pertinently, one divorce certificate and one death certificate. Plenty of memories, but no regrets. Well, just a small one. Both feel slightly guilty about leaving Daniel at Brookfield while they jet off to St. Kitts.
• Marjorie’s down with a touch of the flu, which means she misses both her optician’s appointment and, as piano player, a panto rehearsal.
• Brian’s pleased because he’s had a clean bill of health from the auditors …. but Jack mentions the clash of the Millennium Wood tree-planting ceremony and his Boxing Day shoot. He confirms with Greg and he’s going to scupper Jennifer’s plans which, unsurprisingly, she’s less than pleased about.
