Freddy walks in on Roy and Elizabeth kissing. Neil is furious with Susan for telling Pat she thinks they are exploiting him.
Radio Times: Pat hears some alarming news, and Freddie sees something he should not.
Characters: Elizabeth, Neil, Pat, Roy, Shula, Susan, Tony- Neil is still exhausted but is now covering for Jazzer as well. Of course, all Susan is interested in is whether he is a Manager or not.
- Tony is rather puzzled about why Rob’s parents have never been to visit. Tony reluctantly agrees to behave himself when they meet. And then he goes off to buy the Aberdeen Angus bull. Neil tries to talk to him and asks for the tractor keys – Tony says they’ll talk later.
- Susan is startled to hear from Pat about the cost of the new bull. Pat has another go at convincing Susan that the new digester is wrong – growing crops for fuel instead of food, misplaced away from the source of the waste. Susan decides, however, to tackle the Neil issue. She tells her how exhausted he is. Pat says she didn’t realise Susan says she knows and Tony doesn’t either. They are taking advantage of his good nature and if they can afford £3000 for a bull, they need to think again.
- Shula visits Lower Loxley to talk about Loxfest. Elizabeth is a little sad reminiscing about Nigel but realises she is moving on and is feeling guilty. Shula says she felt the same. But there is no knowing when the time is right. Shula tells her not to feel guilty if she does meet someone. All Nigel wanted was for Elizabeth to be happy.
- Tony’s original bull was sold but the breeder offered him another one. An older bull known to be fertile and this one costs £3500. Tony is thrilled but Pat tells him what Susan has said about exploiting Neil. Tony isn’t prepared to listen. Later, Neil is furious that Susan has intervened. He and Tony had a deal and she shouldn’t have intervened. Tony treats him as an equal. How will he ever be able to look Tony in the face again?
- Roy is thrilled to announce to Elizabeth that Quaintance Smith (who?) have signed! They can announce it in the interview with Borchester Radio next week. Elizabeth ends up in a snog with Roy and, of course, Freddy walks in.
