• The whole village seems to be preparing for tomorrow’s panto auditions – Susan and Clarrie are practising mooing and rollowing over for their twosome as the cow – in the shop!
• Jack gives his thanks to Clarrie for catering for the dogs at the weekend, but his suggestion that it become an annual event wasn’t so welcome – nor was Caroline too pleased to hear it. She, tactfully, suggests that he shouldn’t try to replace his own dear departed Captain with filling Grey Gables with other people’s hounds.
• Auntie Satya is throwing a Divali party at Usha’s on Monday and invites Marjorie.
• Lynda’s selecting possible music for the fashion show – only Jack’s not too impressed with some of the suggestive moves she’s trying out!
• Marjorie, Susan and Clarrie are laying out jumble for tonight’s sale in aid of the new church bells and a bag of Janet’s bric-a-brac is being sorted. Curiously, it contains some items that Marjorie remembered donating to a Darrington sale only recently ….
