Jim persuades Mike to do the interview for Borchester Life
Radio Times: Jazzer offers an inspired solution, and Jim has an educational experience.
Characters: Brenda, Jazzer, Jim, Mike, Tom, Vicky- Jim finds Jazzer reading a book on the Romans and is pleased though less pleased that he is eating while doing it. It isn’t all domestic bliss but they seem to be rubbing along. And in return for Jim educating him on the Romans, Jazzer introduces Jim to the delights of pornographic DVDs and take-away pizza.
- Tom is still obsessing about finding a kitchen for the ready meals. Even those who have space don’t want the fuss of a clean down for organic food. Jazzer suggests forget the organic part and Tom thinks he is on to something.
- Brenda is still in her strange reincarnated earth mother phase and offers to go with Vicky to choose a car seat.
- Jim persuades Mike to do an interview for his article for Borchester Life and says that it would be a good advert for the milk round and for his tree work. The material is very good. Jim also tells them both that he thinks they are doing the right thing with the baby and will give them all his support.
- Brenda, through mouthsful of food, talks Tom out of dropping the organic line. It wouldn’t help anyway because saving money on the kitchens would lose the organic premium on the selling price. Plus Pat and Tony would be furious.
