• Disaster looms at The Bull as Kathy realises that Nigel and Lizzie’s French guests are arriving soon – and that she’d forgotten to write in the diary that Caroline had rearranged the Grey Gables staff booking for tonight too! Sid’s not saying that it’s her fault, but he’s taken it on himself to work out the solution ….
• Shula spills all to Caroline, confessing that she’s no idea what to do next, that she feels as though, by leaving Usha, Richard has laid down a challenge to her, a challenge that, with things going so well with Alistair, she’s not sure if she wants to take up.
• The next stage in the legal process will see Roy and Kate meet (with their lawyers, presumably) next Tuesday.
• Roy’s not feeling up to partying and Jean-Paul is a little affronted at both being asked to be socialable with his colleagues, playing boules and being around French people abroad (especially with Lynda talking pidgin French to them). No-one need have worried, despite Caroline and Lizzie being unhappy at the outset, the French guests and the Grey Gables staff enjoyed themselves nonetheless.
