Lilian gets back from holiday to find that Matt has taken several paintings and emptied the safe.
Radio Times: Kenton is full of plans, while Lilian is horrified.
Characters: Harrison, Jennifer, Jolene, Kenton, Lilian, Shula- Jolene tells Kenton that Fallon has made a decent profit but no mention of the tea rooms so far. Kenton says they need to make plans for re doing The Bull though Lilian might not be too impressed. Kenton wants her to become a minority shareholder though Jolene thinks she might have a sentimental attachment to the place. But Kenton is thinking about boutique accommodation. Jolene says she’ll have a word with Lilian.
- Lilian gets back to the Dower House to find it appears to have been burgled. Harrison turns up at the Dower House to investigate. Paintings are missing and the safes open. The paintings are worth several thousand each. There is no sign of Matt. And no sign of forced entry. And then Harrison finds a note – “Sorry Pussycat”. Lilian claims there must be a simple explanation and asks him to keep it quiet.
- The Echo has done a full page profile of Justin Elliott complete with picture. He claims that businessmen and politicians are working for the good of South Borsetshire without which the area will go into a decline and he claims he has roots in this part of the country and preserving its natural beauty is his main priority. No mention of the scale of the development or LEP and no mention of SAVE. So much for unbiased journalism.
- Shula rants at Kenton and Jolene about the article but Jolene dismisses it as chip paper. They are more interested in Burns Night and Shrove Tuesday – and, of course, their holiday.
- Jennifer arrives at the Dower House as Harrison leaves. Lilian tells her what has happened but makes out that Matt had said he was taking it to be cleaned and she won’t let her in claiming a headache.
