Lilian has had enough of Matt but Paul lets her down.

Rob is impressed with the way the construction is proceeding though Brian is worried he might have too many changes to make. Rob just says he’s learned from other people’s mistakes and he wants it to get it right. The anaerobic digester is also going well – with all the attached subsidies. Brian introduces Rob to Adam. He obviously has doubts about Debbie being able to manage the dairy and the arable from such a distance. Things aren’t going well anyway with the weather.
Lilian escapes to Home Farm. She is finding Matt’s enthusiasm all too much. She just wants to slump in a sofa with a hot water bottle after Whitby. Peggy might have enjoyed the wartime life but Lilian was more interested in the luxury hotel. Alice turns up with an afternoon off. She is still hating the job and her boss. Chris has told her she has to stick at it but she is already lying about wanting to leave early.
Alice tries to put on a brave face about her job to Brian but he seems surprised that she is settling for it. Shouldn’t the world be her oyster?
Rob learns some of the history of Blossom Hill Cottage from Jennifer. He hopes that it might have a ghost, even one of Joe Grundy’s fictional ghosts would do. Lilian gets a call from Paul and he’s had to cancel their meeting. Lilian is obviously upset and Alice notices.
