Lilian is finding her new temp rather difficult to deal with. Pat and Tony are becoming worried about Rob’s influence on Helen and Tom.
Radio Times: Tom needs some help, and Tony struggles to be fair.
Characters: Anthea, Caroline, Lilian, Oliver, Pat, Rob, Tom- Rob helps Tom out with a broken ark. He’s actually come to Bridge Farm to look at Tony’s MG. Tom’s supermarket meals are going really well with them almost sold out. He will have to advance next week’s order and Bellinghams might even increase their order. They’ll need to see regular high orders though. Rob suggests he might need to expand his range but Tom doesn’t want to get too big too quickly. But things like Tom Archer cooking sauces might be good.
- Caroline has been sent back to bed by the Doctor with shingles. She had to be kept apart at the surgery for fear of infection. She’s going to be off work for a couple of weeks at least. Oliver goes off to Grey Gables to help out and leaves her with a Little House on the Prairie DVD.
- Lilian is struggling with her new temp. She seems to need to be told every little detail though Lilian is a bit vague about a lot of things. And the temp points out some of the careless practises and is a stickler for timekeeping. And she is also about to see the Director of her agency to tell him how Amside is proving as a client. Lilian realises Anthea, as we now learn, is in a position of some power.
- Tom is startled to hear from Pat that Brenda has just wandered off on holiday. He doesn’t understand. She’s made so many crazy decisions recently; he just hopes she doesn’t regret them some day.
- Rob not only gets on with Tony looking at his car but Tom and he agree to go out for a pint. Pat is less happy, she doesn’t like the effect Rob is having on Helen. Tony doesn’t care about that but he admits he doesn’t like the effect on Tom – Tony had overheard his conversation about expanding the brand and knows Tom will never listen to common sense again.
