Neil and Eddie find Darrell some temporary, cash in hand, work.

Radio Times: Darrell sees a glimmer of hope. Meanwhile, Helen gets ready to party.

Characters: Darrell, Eddie, Helen, Kirsty, Patrick, Shula, Tom

• Helen tries to cry out of the evening with Kirsty, Tom and Patrick but Kirsty persuades her. It won’t be a date, just fun.
• While Kirsty and Tom are getting ready to go out, she gets a text from Lynda with next week’s rehearsal schedule. She doesn’t know how she is going to get through the next 6 weeks. Tom says she’ll just have to act.
• Eddie and Neil between them have found Darrell a couple of weeks work on a building conversion. Darrell is thrilled and tells Shula he’ll soon be out of her hair. Shula is a bit worried about his benefit position when Darrell says it’s cash in hand but Darrell says he’ll sort it out.
• After initially refusing to drink, Helen gets completely plastered and goes on and on about how exciting her time with Rob was. She can’t believe he did this to her when he told her he loved her. Kirsty says that shows she can’t believe a word he says but Helen then tells Kirsty she mustn’t say that. Tom and Patrick spend the evening playing quiz games. The evening isn’t exactly turning out as Kirsty hoped.
