Neil suggests Christopher for the lead role in the Passion play after Jesus breaks his foot.
Radio Times: Shula is speculating about Dan, and there is a crisis at rehearsal.
Characters: Christopher, Jill, Lynda, Neil, Shula- Lynda is planning the May Day celebrations. Morris Dancers and wood-turners but Lynda is worrying why no one ever replies to her e-mails or listens to what she is saying. Then Chris turns up with the cross for the Passion Play. Lynda hadn’t realised the play was such a big event. She is also rather snubbed at her lack of involvement in it.
- Shula and Jill are doing some gardening at Glebe Cottage – Jill decided to give Ruth some space with Heather. Shula says she has some idea of how Ruth is feeling because of her ectopic pregnancy but Jill doesn’t think it’s the same. At least Shula did get Dan in the end and she should be very proud of him. Shula speculates that he may have a girlfriend. Jill begins to wonder what it will be like when she finally goes home.
- Barry Marshall is playing Jesus in the passion play and they need to practise crucifying him. Chris needs to know if Jazzer and Neil can lift the cross with Jesus on it. Lynda thinks she’d have managed it all much better. And she is delighted when the cross gets dropped on Jesus’s foot. Just goes to show that people don’t understand the issues around productions. They should have asked an expert.
- When it’s found out that Barry has broken his foot and definitely can’t play Jesus, Chris suggests Jazzer should take over but Neil says that that would make them a laughing stock and suggests Chris should do it himself.
