• Bert suggests to Phil that he take his mind of things by coming to the anti-merger meeting tonight. Phil’s not sure – he’s feeling very bad about the whole situation. Even his daughters comment on the fact that he’s starting to look his age.
• Bert finds out that Joe’s interested in doing the fashion show too and if Joe can do it, so can he! He suggests this to Phil, too.
• Shula goes into the shop not realising that Susan is serving. Susan apologises for her outburst at the cricket meeting. Shula considered it unnecessary, but it’s all in the past now.
• Bert and Ruth are loading the eight cows from the main herd, including Melanie, onto the truck to be taken away. Ruth’s finding it very hard, but it gets done and they just have to move on.
