The position with Jack is getting worse when he wanders off but Peggy still doesn’t want help. Ruth is back with the herd but things still aren’t going well.
Radio Times: Jack goes on the missing list.
Characters: Alan, Alice, David, Jack, Jennifer, Peggy, Ruth- Peggy manages to get to church while Alice looks after Jack but she suddenly finds he isn’t in his room and panics. Alan eventually finds him sitting on a bench in the country park but that panics Jack who doesn’t recognise him. He does eventually get him home but he’s very wet – he’d gone out in his slippers. Peggy is now determined that she can’t leave him alone anymore. Alan tries to convince her to try a day centre for him – the stimulation might help Jack but she isn’t sure. Alice is also very upset by everything but Jack seems to have forgotten it all already.
- It’s Ruth’s first day looking after the herd. It’s going well so far. David is keen to help but Ruth sees it as a criticism and brushes him off which doesn’t go down well. She tries to explain and it seems as if he understands. He does say it looks as if she’s at home with the cows. But that’s as far as it goes.
