The sale of Brookfield seems to be funding a tremendous amount of good works; Rob shows his controlling side again.
Radio Times: Emma soothes Ed’s fears, and things are not good at Ambridge Organics.
Characters: Ed, Emma, Fallon, Helen, Kenton, Rob, Tom- Emma and Keira present Ed with a new pair of gloves. Emma urges him to keep some time available to see the Vicar about arrangements for their wedding. He grudgingly agrees to see what he can do.
- Kenton and Fallon discuss David’s good fortune in selling Brookfield to Justin Elliot for a top dollar price. Kenton is planning on taking Jolene to Australia with part of the proceeds in February. Fallon is sworn to secrecy.
- Helen and Tom discuss Tony’s progress. Tom is concerned how Johnny is taking his poor college results. Apparently he sees himself as “stupid”. Helen admits to concerns about Ambridge Organics’ recent financial performance, just as Rob walks in. His tone implies that he is less than pleased.
- Over dinner, Emma tries to press Ed to see Alan on Thursday evening. She suspects that he might be cooling about the idea of marriage. He admits that having the wedding in the village, where she was previously married to Will, is causing him some concern. She pleads with him to put it out of his mind; it is him that she loves. He comes round to the idea, Thursday it is.
- Fallon and Kenton talk of her plans to set up a tearoom in Ambridge. Kenton shares his great plans to re-vamp The Bull as soon as the Brookfield bounty rolls in.
- Helen pours Rob a scotch and ginger. They discuss the situation at the shop, Rob is unhappy about Helen involving herself; that’s why they have a manager. He feels that Tom may have made her feel uneasy about her business. She is sure not and Rob accepts what she says. However, he insists that in future she should talk problems over with him before involving anyone else. Oh dear Helen!
