Characters: Christine, Eddie, George, Lynda, Mike, Peggy, Robert
- As part of her decision to play a less active role in village affairs Lynda opts for the line-dancing in preference to the meeting of the Harvest Supper steering group. Robert is less than enthusiastic about tagging along, even though Mike confirms he won’t be the only bloke there.
- Eddie trys to persuade Mike to get a bit of extra income by selling his “no questions asked” venison on the milk round. Mike wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole!
- Peggy meets Robert and Lynda in the Bull before the line-dancing commences, with Lynda in full Western garb. Peggy’s mind is already on Christmas and, while she accepts Lynda has no intention of getting involved with any pantomime this year, has had an idea about a “Victorian Christmas” complete with old-time music nights at the Bull…
- Mike finally discovers, talking to Peggy and Eddie, that the farm shop is closing next year. He’s less than pleased, especially that he hadn’t been told by Tony, but is still not interested in the venison.
- Returning from the Harvest Supper meeting, at which a severely unhappy Susan has said she’ll be looking for another job, George and Christine discover someone has let all the horses out – so another call out for the police.
