Characters: Eddie, Hayley, Jack, John, Peggy, Roy, Sean
- John’s making the most of being an adult now, not an image-conscious teenager like his sister! He’s looking forward to his party at the Cat tonight – and he even asks Jack and Peggy if they’d like to make an appearence!
- Roy can’t make the party though – he’d swapped shifts at Grey Gables, but his swappee is ill and he’ll have to do a double shift.
- Sean is busy telling one and all a very old cow joke (Two cows in a field: The first cow asks the other ‘What do you think of this BSE problem then?’ The second cow replies, ‘What do I care – I’m a tractor’.) Which went down well – at first!
- Hayley’s got the organisation for John’s party in hand (or rather she’s making very sure that Sean has). She’s also pleased because Bert had said how good he thought the script was, after he’d seen the video of the panto.
- John’s not pleased that Roy’s cancelling – others have too – then Hayley can’t get away because her mother is ill. Unfortunately Eddie’s comment “Whose wake is this?” is too near the truth as John’s party is a complete blow-out – just him, Jack and Peggy. They take him back to Grey Gables for a meal instead. Ror promises Jack that he’ll get together with Hayley to work something out.
