Characters: Alistair, David, Neil, Ruth, Shula, Susan, Usha

• Susan found (in the bin) the letter offering him an interview for a rep’s job that Neil didn’t want her to find. She convinces him to visit their stand at the Royal Show when they visit later in the week. He’s still unhappy at the prospect – he’s enjoying work at the moment, but her pespective is that they need the extra money more than his work enjoyment.
• Dinner for five at the Bungalow – Richard cried off (as we thought he might). Alistair’s in sparkling form and Shula’s a little defensive as people (especially Usha) wonder why Richard had to offer to cover calls when he doesn’t normally want to. Shula’s generally quiet and leaves first, Alistair drives her home. Usha is sure that it must be something that she’s done.
• Neil and Alistair were meant to prepare the weekend’s pitches, but both forgot and both assumed the other was reliable enough to do it ….
• As Alistair drops Shula off, she doesn’t feel so tired and invites him in for coffee …… and to stay the night.
