Characters: Bert, Eddie, Joe, Richard, Sean, Shula, Usha

• Usha’s becoming a little one-tracked where the Sammy Whipple case is concerned – she’s sure that they’ve a rock solid case. Richard is sure too and gently tells her that he doesn’t need more convincing. They arrange to meet in the Cat, either after nets or (more likely) after Richard apologises for missing nets.
• Sean gave the cricket team a bit of a hard time over the need to work at the pitch – Bert’s even organised a rota with coloured stickers, which the Grundys are gleefully ribbing him about.
• Richard pops in to see Shula and Daniel, over Pimms in the garden Richard tells Shula to enjoy herself a bit and complements her on her looks as she tries to say she feels past it.
• Usha’s in the Cat, but leaves before Richard arrives. Joe’s there though and, having been told he’s in second place, Richard offers to match anything Alistair will pay for the tickets.
