Characters: Hayley, John, Mike, Pat, Roy, Sharon, Tony

• Sharon pays a visit to John at Honeysuckle Cottage on the pretext of leaving a delivery from the village shop for Uncle Tom, who’s not in next door. She offers to tend Johns wounds in her own way…
• Hayley in the meantime goes over to Bridge Farm to have a word with Pat about her worries over Uncle Tom. Tony’s more interested in why John hasn’t turned up yet. John finally arrives, thinking quickly (for him) he comes up with the excuse that he had gone to check that Tom was OK and that’s why he wasn’t answering the phone.
• Roy has another go at warning Sharon off in the village shop, with no success. Hayley arrives and Roy makes a point of introducing them: Hayley’s there to stock up the first aid box.
• Mike makes a delivery to Bridge Farm and makes no attempt to disguise his anger over the closing of the farm shop, and more particularly the fact that they hadn’t bothered to tell him. Pat lays in to Tony for not telling him, he claims to have been waiting for the “right moment”.
• Roy (does this man ever have any lectures?) meets John on his way to the village shop to, err, stock up the first aid box. Roy again warns John against Sharon, but he claims he can handle it and promises “if she starts coming on to me, I’ll tell her to get lost”.
