• Neil’s still moaning about John, but he seems glad to have been rid of the pigs – and John.
• Simon’s not around and Susan “found” (in the bin) a reply from Mr Rodway over his complaint about Shula, giving him fairly short shrift. Shula’s still being wary and is off to Grange Farm to read the Riot Act again.
• Ken was on a fact-finding mission. First he visited Majorie, but she was full of Richard’s praise (although she didn’t realise she was being interogated). Susan, though, accidentally mentioned the case of the face paints and that it was Ruth, not the doctor, that picked it up. In the Bull, Eddie mentions Joe’s “Farmer’s Lung” and Richard’s “ignorance” of it and Ken seems pleased with all the new ammunition.
• Eddie’s got his new car plate and plans no more sales because of it. Shula seems pleased with this, although slightly sceptical!
• Richard visits Majorie to ask her to store the furniture when Janet no longer needs it and finds out about Ken’s scheming, although falls short of telling Majorie the real reason for it.
