• Phil’s been convinced into not giving up conducting at Lower Loxley on Tuesday and is still driving Jill nuts with the amount of preparation he thinks he needs – only he’s also worrying about Eddie, who’s managed to get to be the firer of one of the cannons!
• The cricket team go from bad to worse, Shula drags her son and parents along to watch the last couple of hours only Ambridge, hot on the heels of a league defeat on Saturday, don’t last that long in today’s cup match – a quick defeat following a paltry total. (The lack of a decent pitch is one excuse, and we get the impression that Phil is about to offer to replace the failing rota.)
• Roy’s got other things to worry about – he’s got hold of Morwenna’s mobile number and is desperate to learn Kate’s plans.
• Shula finds Alistair alone, sweeping the pavilion and they smooch – before being disturbed by Richard, who awkwardly interrupts them and seems very surprised by their intimacy.
