Characters: Bert, David, Jack, Marjorie, Peggy, Phil, Ruth
- Brookfield is starting to show the strain of Josh’s sleeping irregularities, Pip’s problems with going to school and Phil being out of action. To compound things Bert’s off helping with the Grey Gables shoot today. Although she’s not keen, Ruth agrees to try to them asking Mike to help out with the milking for a couple of weeks, just to relieve some of the pressure.
- In spite of the panic, the Grey Gables shoot seems to be going well, with Brian’s man doing a sterling job.
- Marjorie, Jack and Peggy start to organise the Christmas Fair, seeking ideas for a Victorian-themed event.
- Bert’s not happy with Sid, because of one disputed question from the quiz and because of one miscarriage of justice (not counting the dozens of other incorrect answers) he’s taking back his “resignation” from the team!
- The echo’s causing a little concern around the village on two counts. Firstly Sid’s banned it from the Bull for an article about Jolene’s line-dancing at the Cat, but more importantly there’s an article about George’s beating, mentioning that someone’s (presumably Eddie) is helping the police with their enquiries. Marjorie and Peggy seem to be ready to hang him, mainly down to his dealings with the venison, obviously linking the two incidents.
