• Ruth’s so worried that it is Bert;s fault that she takes over from him, a certain about of umbrage on his part follows – and a distinctly unamused David, both for annoying Bert and for working so hard whilst pregnant. She’s convinced that the cell count problem is either Bert being slapdash or his forceful, stress-inducing behaviour toward the cows. Nothing for it but David will have to take over ….
• Tom noticed that Jill’s eggs weren’t quite up to their normal standard and wasn’t happy!
• It’s Shula and Kenton’s which passes comments about Brookfield.
• John’s late meeting Hayley (who’s babysitting Jamie but not as well as Brenda seems to) at The Bull – because who should have turned up at Bridge Farm? Sharon. He’s initially shocked speechless, after greetings and expressions of regret and catching up with news, they start to, what could almost be, flirt, definitely tentative soundings of where their lives are now. As John looks at his watch, she pries for news of a date, but no, he’s only going to be meeting a friend …..
