Characters: Jack, Kate, Neil, Peggy, Roy, Susan, Tommy, Tony
- Susan is still giving Neil a hard time, not wanting to listen to his reasons, seemingly more worried about Emma not being able to go on a school trip to France than Neil’s explanations about his principles.
- Kate refuses to give Tommy a plastic bag for his purchases and Peggy takes the opportunity to take her to task over shop matters.
- Jack’s back from London and Roy manages to make an excuse for his not being able to use the Bentley, which is still in the process of being cleaned.
- Tony’s giving Tommy some net practice and takes the opportunity to tell him that they know college isn’t on reading week. Tommy says that he was told to by his personal tutor and, rather than tell him off, Tony just tells him to talk to his parents, because they’re all in the same boat.
- Neil’s starting to get annoyed at Susan’s persistent harpying. He tells her that he was dying inside during his six years as a rep and that he loves working with the pigs, it’s what he’s good at and why can’t she see that it makes him happy?
